A 20year-old youth was on Saturday booked for homicide after he dragged a cop on the bonnet of his automobile while trying to escape a police naka close to Milk Bar Chowk in Jalandhar. Besides him, police have additionally booked his father in reference to the case.
It has been learnt that Amol Mehmi, a resident of Nakodar space, was on his manner to a bakery store in Model Town and was travelling with none curfew move. He tried to escape after he was requested to cease his automobile on the checkpoint.
The youth continued driving whilst Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Mulakh Raj tried to cease him and held on to the bonnet of the automobile. It was not till the youth dragged the cop for not less than 100 metres that he was nabbed by Additional Station House Officer, Gurdev Singh.

Jalandhar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar mentioned a case below sections 308, 353, 196, 188 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 3(2) of the Epidemic Disease Act and 52 Disaster Management Act has been registered.
Till date, as many as 10,000 visitors challans have been issued, 585 individuals have been arrested, 719 autos have been impounded, 443 FIRs are register while 110 FIRs have been registered towards these travelling with out masks.
