J&K: 2G internet for postpaid, verified prepaid sims extended till Apr 27





The 2G cell internet companies has been extended in till April 27 for postpaid and solely verified prepaid sims, based on an order issued by the Home division.


“The mobile data services shall be restricted to 2G only. The postpaid sim card holders shall continue to be provided access to the internet, these services shall not be made available on prepaid sim cards unless verified as per the norms applicable for postpaid connections,” the assertion mentioned, including fixed-line internet connectivity shall proceed “to be made available with Mac-binding.”

Meanwhile, the high-speed internet will proceed to stay suspended throughout the Union Territory of Jammu till April 27, an order issued by Principal Secretary, Home, Shaleen Kabra, mentioned on Wednesday.
