DHFL promoters Kapil, Dheeraj Wadhawan sent to 10-day ED custody in Yes Bank case


New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested DHFL promoter Kapil Wadhawan and his brother Dheeraj over Yes Bank corruption case.

Both the brothers have been introduced earlier than a particular courtroom in Mumbai, after which they’ve been sent to 10 days custody.

The Bombay excessive courtroom had on Tuesday (May 12) rejected the pre-arrest bail plea of Kapil Wadhawan and his brother Dheeraj in ED case over Yes Bank corruption subject.

The businessmen-brothers are going through expenses of economic irregularities in instances filed by each Enforcement Directorate (ED) and CBI.

The Wadhawans are presently in jail after being arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which can also be probing the identical case in reference to the Yes Bank rip-off in which former Yes Bank CEO and co-founder Rana Kapoor can also be a co-accused.

The promoter duo have been charged by the ED in two instances – alleged irregularities in the funding of Employees Provident Fund (EPF) of the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) and the opposite relates to laundering of over Rs 4,000 crore via Yes Bank.

On April 27, a particular CBI courtroom in town had remanded Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhawan to custody of the company until April 29 in reference to the Yes Bank rip-off.

Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhawan have been arrested by the CBI with the assistance of Satara district authorities from Mahabaleshwar, a preferred hill station positioned greater than 300km from Mumbai.
