Coronavirus lockdown: Police vacate Shaheen Bagh protesters after 3 months





Protestors towards the citizenship legislation at Shaheen Bagh had been vacated by the Police amid outbreak on Tuesday morning, officers stated.



The girls agitators have been on a sit-in at Shaheen Bagh for over three months, protesting the newly amended Citizenship Act.

 


Deputy Commissioner of Police (southeast) R P Meena stated individuals on the protest venue in Shaheen Bagh had been requested to vacate the location as lockdown has been imposed attributable to outbreak.





However, once they refused motion was taken and so they had been vacated, the official stated. This comes a day after an unidentified man allegedly hurled petrol bomb close to the location. However, non one sustained any accidents.
