Bihar: Cops, health dept officials beaten up in Aurangabad, Motihari

While a block growth officer and three policemen have been roughed up in Areraj, East Champaran, a sub-divisional police officer and a health division workforce have been attacked in Aurangabad on Wednesday.

At each locations, the groups had gone to create consciousness on social distancing.

Police have lodged circumstances in each issues and have arrested 44 individuals in the Aurangabad case.

In East Champaran, Harsiddhi block growth officer Sunil Kumar with three policemen had visited Jagapakad village to create consciousness on COVID-19 prevention and JE vaccination. Several villagers, who had been upset at not getting free ration as introduced by the federal government, began arguing with the BDO. When the policemen tried to intervene, villagers attacked the workforce. The BDO and three policemen are present process remedy at Referral Hospital, Areraj.

In Goh, Aurangabad, a health division workforce which had visited Ekauni village to get particulars on migrants was attacked by villagers. Goh sub-divisional police officer, who rushed to the spot, was additionally misbehaved with by the villagers. Over half a dozen individuals suffered accidents.
