BigBasket app, site crash on high demand


NEW DELHI: Website and cell app of on-line grocery vendor BigBasket on Monday confronted breakdown as a result of surge in demand amid the coronavirus outbreak. Following the load, the corporate restricted entry of service just for present clients.
“We are currently experiencing unprecedented demand. In light of this, we are restricting access to our website to existing customers only. Please try again in a few hours,” it stated.

Social media agency LocalCircles in a survey claimed that round 35 per cent of customers have stated they aren’t getting important items from retail shops in addition to e-commerce firms on the time of lockdown.

When contacted, a BigBasket spokesperson stated each software and web site of the corporate are going through drawback as a result of a surge in demand.
