Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday stated the Balakot airstrikes had sent out a clear message that infrastructure throughout the border couldn’t be used as secure havens for terrorists.
“If we’ve to be prepared for the tasks assigned to us, then it’s important we maintain credible deterrence at land, air and sea at all times,” Singh stated on the Centre for Air Power Studies.
Balakot airstrike conveyed India’s clear message that infrastructure throughout the border will not be secure haven for terrorists. It compelled rewriting of doctrines throughout the border, confirmed the nation’s resolve and functionality, the defence minister stated.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat stated: “Deterrence comes from keeping every personnel trained and motivated.”
Rawat underlined that credible deterrence comes from the need of the navy management and intent of political management whereas taking the robust resolution.
“This was amply shown after Kargil, Uri attacks and Pulwama attack,” he added.
